With an ever expanding line up, we have started to believe that Elephone plan to have a different phone for every person in China! Next on the list is the Elephone P4000, a Xiaomi/Meizu/Nubia inspired device!
It is always great to see a Chinese phone maker go from strength to strength, especially a young phone maker like Elephone, but we do cringe when they relax a little and start pumping out the clones!
As you can see, the Elephone P4000 is a smartphone based on the design of the Xiaomi Mi4. Previously we had been informed by our source at Elephone that the P4000 will be a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) phone, powered by a Mediatek processor and housed in a metal body.
These additional renders of the new phone show us that Xiaomi aren’t the only inspiration for the P4000, which also has the home button from a Nubia phone and the wallpaper form Meizu’s Flyme. The new images also show that a Whilte, Gold and Black version of the phone will be available and that the rear of the device will have a single LED flash and rear camera, but no Finger-print scanner which has become a prominent features in the Elephone line-up.

Pricing is not yet confirmed, nor is a release date of final specifications.
Hmmm. Clones, clones, clones. Originality is indeed scarce.
Is it a quality device, that will last ?
I think it’s beautiful. I love the design of the back of the phone.
Even with a snapdragon 810 i wouldn’t buy this phone! The build quality is very bad!
I assume you’ve used it?
Several past Elephone models have been known to have poor build quality, he is probably going off of that.
I’ve heard that Elephone is well-known for it’s poor quality 😛
I know a few people who bought them and loved them for the first week and then the problems started.
I have had a fingerprint scanner on multiple phones and have never used it other than to try it out. To me it is a gimmick feature like NFC.
Honestly the design looks amazing. Too bad its 720p which makes me assume its gonna run some crappy quad core mtk 6582 with 1gb ram
dammit! where the fuck are the 720p quads with 2gb ram!!!!
I would not trust these copy Phones, mostly are from bad quality with no support at all. not even rom updates.
I would never buy a clone phone because I like originality but I have a friend who swears by Goophone. And I have used a few of the models he bought from them and the build quality was pretty good.
