With the iOcean X8 and X8 Mini, Chinese phone maker iOcean have really only been focussing on the mid to high-end Mediatek phone market, but now with the launch of the X1 we see a more affordable device on its way.
Available in a variety of bright colours the iOcean X1 is the companies first low-cost smartphone which sees international pricing swoop below $120. International resellers sites have the phone available for Pre-sale now at only $112.99, which is a very attractive price for anyone looking for a stylish phone to fit their budget.
There are no worrying surprises in the specifications either, and for the money it all looks pretty good. A quad-core MT6582 processor with 1GB RAM are more than enough for the 4.5-inch 960 x 540 display, while a 2650mAh battery is quite large considering the specs.
UPDATE: Specs have been revealed to have a much less thrilling 1600mAh battery.
Details also confirm that the iOcean X1 has Android 4.4.2 with Google Play, and gesture support as standard. Other features include notification LED, 8 mega-pixel main camera and sensitive panel that will work with wet hands.
Being a Mediatek MT6582 powered phone means that there is no LTE, but dual sim 3G and a micro SD card are standard.
The iOcean X1 will have to compete against phones from Elephone, DooGee and UMi at this price point, how do you think they will do?
