After posting details of a rumoured retail price for the UMi Zero yesterday, UMi representevies got in touch and gave us the final official pricing details.
$299, is what it will cost for the latest UMi smartphone which is scheduled to go on sale in the coming weeks. The UMi Zero has been a phone that has grabbed the headlines a lot recently thanks to the attention to build, quality, materials and hardware, but with no LTE we wonder if the price is just a little too much?!
To recap the UMi Zero as a 6.4mm super body, made of an alloy material and featuring a 2400mAh battery build inside and fast charging. The slim device, is powered by a 2.0Ghz ocatcore MT6592T processor with 2GB RAM and has Android 4.4 as standard. There is even a decent 5-inch Super Amoled display with a resolution of 1080p.
With all that said the lack of LTE is enough to put many customers off by itself, but a retail price of $299 could be adding more fuel to the fire.
At $299, will you buy a UMi Zero?

I think that the main reasons for the high price is the screen Super Amoled from Samsung which is a must 🙂
For me the only problem besides the price it’s the sd card as an option to a sim card, In other words if you want to use it as a dual sim, no sd card option
yeah, same as Doogee DG900,2SIM+microSD not possible at the same time 🙁
Personally I am not a fan of Samsung’s Super Amoled screens they look too bright and the colors don’t look natural to me. I would prefer they used one of the LG or Sharp screens and then could have offered the phone for at least $50 less.
