A lot of Xiaomi Mi 3 hopefuls in India have been left wanting due to insufficient stocks of the uber popular device. However, Xiaomi has come up with a (noble?) way to try and keep all satisfied.
Very interestingly, the Xiaomi Mi 3 will be added to the cart of those who had been unable to purchase the device previously. To be specific, Flipkart will auto-add the Mi 3 to the Flipkart cart of buyers who registered for the Mi 3 five times or more, without being successful in actually purchasing one.
If you don’t remember, previous Mi 3 sales (like the current Redmi 1S sales) require buyers to first register (no limit on the number of registrations) for a sale, and then add the device to cart on sale day (devices sold in limited numbers). While the former action doesn’t take a lot, it is adding the device to cart which has turned to be a daunting task.
Also, it is the last time that the Xiaomi Mi 3 will go on sale, according to the company. This makes it very clear that the next set of devices, including the Redmi Note and the flagship Mi 4 are ready to hit the Indian market which has embraced Xiaomi in a way it wouldn’t have imagined.
