iberry’s latest, the Auxus Aura A1 went on sale in India earlier today for 9,990 INR or US$162.
This comes just weeks (or even lesser) before Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note in India. The Redmi Note will sell for 9,999 INR almost as much as the Auxus Aura A1. The couple phones that Xiaomi have launched in India (Redmi 1S and Mi 3) got price cuts worth 1000 INR or $16 right before launch, so we won’t be surprised if Xiaomi pull of a similar feat with the Redmi Note.
Coming back to the Auxus Aura A1, it comes with a 5 inch display and a 960 x 540 pixel resolution to make for a smaller than average phone. The 8 core processor powering the Auxus Aura A1 is the Mediatek MT6592m, which operates at 1.4GHz unlike the MT6592 which runs at 1.7GHz.
Specifications
- 5-inch 960 x 540p display
- 1.4GHz octa-core CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB on-board storage
- 13 mega-pixel rear camera
- 8 mega-pixel front camera
- 2800mAh battery

Also, the 9,990 INR pricing is for a ‘limited period’ like most other iberry launches that have taken place in the recent past.
Unfortunately iberry has picked up a reputation for bad support for their products in India. I too thing people would be better off with Redmi 1S.
