ECOO release partial spec details of their low-cost flagship

ECOO have updated their Facebook page to included partial specifications for their affordable flagship phone.

The first we heard of ECOO was right before the Chinese National Holidays when the company announced that they would be releasing an Android smartphone for 699 Yuan in China with some high-end specs. The company and their Facebook page has been quiet since for a while, which had us wonder if what they promised was a little too much, but today they have come through.

Far from a full specification sheet, the partial specs of the first ECOO phone do look promising, and for the money are the best we have seen so far.

The ECOO will officially launch with a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 FHD OGS display, 1.7Ghz Octacore MT6792 processor and 2450mAh battery. We still need to find out how much RAM this phone will have and need to learn what it will look like, but for 699 Yuan (China price) it seems like a fair deal.

It’s nice what they are trying to do but can’t help but feel sorry for them because they are making a fundamental mistake by going with A7 cores. A7 is done , it’s outdated. Sure most of the public is yet to realize that but they will soon enough and at that point this device will lose most of it’s value.
Sure for now A53 costs a bit more but they really should not use anything less and make sure they have at least 2GB of RAM even if that drives the price up.
