dual sim and Wcdma and it’s perfect 🙂 well… if under 2600 RMB that is……

Honor 6 was always 3gb ram. The upgrade is from Kirin 920 (A15 clocked at 1.7ghz), jumping the kirin 925 (A15 -1.8ghz) used in Mate 7, to Kirin 928 (A15 – 2Ghz) used in this Honor 6 extreme edition.

Huawei Honor 6 sold in India is also reviwed as a good phone with laggy gpu. Huawei is intent on promoting inhouse Kirin…i think they should have gone with Snapdragon 801..for better over all performance of phone.

The GPU is ARM’s Mali and not strictly inhouse. Second, who said its laggy ? no reviewer says that, and there are about 7-10 reviews online. Most say that GPU works perfectly good with nearly every game, let alone other usage. Only some rare cases its not as good as the snapdragon, which is kind of obvious knowing Mali T628 capability vis a vis adreno 330.

If Huawei was to go with snapdragon then their own chip would never develop. If you see the improvement Huawei has made in their chip from last year to this year, you’d know it paid off. In one more year, snapdragon would become a thing of the past, that even mediatek would easily compete with them.

No review said that the GPU is laggy .
They said it’s not as fast as the Adreno .
          I read about 5-6 reviews .
But I still wish they use a Mali T-760 is next devices .

I doubt it’d be a problem with the processor if Simpsons Tapped Out is lagging. That should be able to run on 2011-2012 phones easily.

Think Huawei are going the direction of launching too many devices and most of them being not refined. I prefer the alternate route, few but brilliant devices. Look at brands like Apple, Motorola, Xiaomi.

Why didn’t they also Pimp the camera to 16 MPixel and more important, the battery to 5000 or at least 4200 mAh??? That would have been way more useful. The regular Honor 6 already has dual SIM LTE and 3GB….????

If they are to make such a major change, it would be a Honor 7 instead.

Mate 7 has 4100 mAh battery. Not sure in what sense you image 5000mAh battery fitting in a phone with the dimensions of Honor 6. I would surely not want Honor 6 turning into bulky heavy brick.

If the much more smaller company like THL could fit 5000mAH battery to five incher there’s no reason why giant like Huawei (or the rest of phone company) couldn’t.

Honor is a good phone from Huawei but it’s mainly for China .
What about the international series like Ascend P or Ascend G .
Only thing I wish that Huawei use a super AMOLED display and 21 MP camera with OIS using Sony IMX220 in its next international flagship .

          October 14, 2014

Most (if not all) 1080p AMOLED use pentile matrix, which looks bad compared to good IPS/LTPS panel.

But AMOLED screens are on average performs better in sunlight .
Most of the phones with AMOLED are more visible in a sunny day .
But if Huawei can improve sunlight visibility of their phone I will be happy with IPS .

Not really it depend on backlight used on the non amoled screen, and not all AMOLED screen have NIT bright enough to be better than those, in fact most of them have worse NIT.

If you have chance or friend who have Jiayu G4S try to compare it with Samsung AMOLED. You might be surprised.

    yawn.

one thing that Huawei can’t change is that it comes from Huawei.

Camera is the bomb if you look at the price. Beats the Z3 and S5 easily. Check the Web for samples…
