Xiaomi are continuing to push in to India, and will do so with the flagship Xiaomi Mi4 and Redmi Note in the coming months.
VP of Xiaomi, Hugo Barra, has gone on the record to say that Indiaās Xiaomi fans can be looking forward to receiving the Xiaomi Mi4 and larger screen Redmi Note in the next 2 months.
Barra didnāt reveal which version of the Redmi Note or Xiaomi Mi4 will go on sale, or if they will continue to only offer limited quantities of products for each launch, but did confirm that they will not be selling the highly popular Xiaomi Mi3 again.
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi have seen amazing success in India with sales of the Redmi 1S reaching 1,000,000 units, however they have also seen a lot of criticism for they sales methods that has angered many would be buyers.
Andi, any news if Meizu also planning to foray Indian market?
I don’t think so that Meizu will be launching any if its phones anytime soon. But OPO sure is going to be launched in a couple months.
Meizu MX4 is to be released in the Philippines by November. No idea on other countries though.
While Mi4 is reportedly a good phone..one wonders why Xiaomi hobbles this with lack of Sd card slot for memory expansion. Also surely Xiaomi knows that a Dual Sim capability which is desirable in Asia..will enhance the appeal of this flag ship especially in India. After reading Andi thumbs up for this phone i desire this..but minus the 2 reservations.. one seeks alternatives. Maybe ZTE Z7.
