After hiring staff in India, OnePlus are now ready to start selling their flagship phone in the super hot market.
OnePlus have confirmed that they are building a marketing team specifically for the Indian market! This will be a first for the phone company who currently run all of their international marketing from Shenzhen, China.
The team responsible for India will be working closely with E-commerce sites to sell the OnePlus One, which will be available via pre-order rather than invite. Director of OnePlus, Carl Pei had this to say while speaking to the Economic Times:
“India is a super hot market with rapid data growth and this is the right time to enter the market. We are talking to all three leading e-commerce players in India to start our operations. We hope to finalize our partner this week”.

When asked about the possibility of a Windows phone, Pei commented that they had been approached by Microsoft and it was something that they might be interested in:
“We have had discussions with Microsoft over a Windows Phone smartphone. We are still looking into it,”
So OnePlus One could be entering India officially before the year is out, and the OnePlus 2 might be shadowed by a Windows mobile device. What do you guys’t think of that?
