It’s safe to assume that the Oppo N3 won’t be cheap when it launches, but never fear as the DOOV V1 is here with rotating camera and likely more affordable price tag.
This is the second time we have seen the DOOV V1, but only the first time we have managed to see the new smartphone in real photos. Just as promised in the TENAA leaks, the V1 packs a large camera lens with dual LED flash that is designed to rotate from the rear to the front for some 13 mega-pixel selfies.
In the hand the DOOV V1 appears to be thicker than we would have expected and that camera lens is massive, almost like a huge eye. Hopefully part of that size will be to give the camera as wide a range as possible.
For a 5-inch phone it looks quite large, but fans of the rotating camera gimmick(?) will over look.
Specs for the phone include a 720 HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory, Android 4.4.4 Kiktat and we believe a Mediatek processor.
Seems to be an interesting solution. I hope they’ll manage to use proper software optimizations.
The only Chinese companies that makes decent camera phones are oppo, xiaomi vivo and recently meizu the rest of them are crap!
