Another Android tablet from the folks who brought us the Nexus line, the ASUS MeMo Pad 10 ME103K now gets an official introduction plus specification sheet.

With the holidays around the corner, ASUS have released official details of a new tablet which they are aiming at entry-level Android tablet buyers. The Memo Pad 10 ME103K, might not have the same ring to it as iPad Air, but the device does have a more appealing retail price at only $199 (199 Euros in Europe).

We’re not entirely sure why Asus chose this name, although the ’10’ in the name does point out the 10” display on the device that supports 10 finger multi-touch at a resolution of 1280 x 800. The entry-level hardware continues with 1GB RAM, VGA front camera, 2 mega-pixel rear and a rather old Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (the same that was found in the Oppo Find 5 and original Xiaomi Mi2).

Specs don’t mention LTE or 3G, but there is 802.11b/g/n WI-FI, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, GPS, micro SD memory expansion and a battery larger enough for 9.5 hours of usage.
