After a recent price exposure of 4,298 Yuan ($700), Oppo bosses have gone ahead and release more about the camera centric phone by way of a camera sample.
Oppo haven’t gone down the usual route of producing fake leaks and sending them out to media, and instead opted to just go ahead and post actual details. These informative posts started with confirmation of a 16 mega-pixel camera from company CEO a few weeks back, and continues as Oppo’s official Facebook page posted actual images of the Oppo N3 ahead of this weeks launch.
This morning with only a few days to go another post from Oppo’s CEO gives us our first glimpse of the photo quality the N3 is capable of.
As the photo was posted Via Weibo the image has been compressed and unfortunately the images itself doesn’t really tell us too much. What we can see is that the camera appears to be able to reproduce colours very well and give good contrast between dark and light. The shadows around the edges of the building look very crisp.
We could also be looking at a vertical panoramic photo produced with the motorised rear 16 mega-pixel camera on the Oppo N3, in which case this is a rather exciting photo and gives us just a small glimpse of what is capable with the new rotating camera feature.
The Oppo N3 will be officially launched in Beijing on the 29th October. Keep posted for more details.
