HTC might be the first smartphone maker to launch a phone with the latest octacore 64bit processor from Mediatek.
Mediatek released two new 64bit processors this quarter, the quad-core MT6732 and octacore MT6752 processors. The MT6732 has already made its way in to a few new phones from Chinese companies, and now the 8-core MT6752 is about to make an appearance aboard the new HTC Desire D820us.
The phone uses a similar deign to the flagship HTC M8 with dual front facing speakers but a plastic body to keep costs down. As you can see in the official TENAA photos the 5.5-inch HTC is a slim phone with official dimensions being 157.7 x 74.4 x 7.74mm.
TENAA also spill the beans on parts of the hardware which includes a 1.7ghz octacore processor, 2GB RAM, 5.5-inch 720p display, Android 4.4.4, 8 mega-pixel front and 13 mega-pixel rear camera. As a 1.7Ghz processor is listed it is likely the lower end MT6752M rather than the top of the range SoC that runs at a faster 2.0Ghz.
