Ehear get in to the tablet market with a compact device packing a quad-core chip and built-in 3G.
Last time we saw Ehear they were trying to get in to the action camera market with an ear mounted bluetooth/camera set up (yes, it was as strange as it sounds). Seeing them now build a tablet is a little more interesting for us and the price isn’t bad either.
Costing $139.19, the Ehear MQ8 is a 7.85-inch tablet with 1024 x 768 resolution, not quite the retina panel we’ve seen on the Mi Pad and similar but it does help keep the cost low. 1GB RAM is another cost cutting measure so don’t go expecting too much from the little tablet, but at least there’s a quad-core processor and built-in 3G to keep you connected.
Using a Mediatek MT8389 (basically a tablet verson of the MT6582) the MQ8 can also make calls and has GPS for navigation duties. Other features include a couple of cameras and a rather large 4100mAh Li-polymer battery.
Is the Ehear MQ8 tablet a device you would be interested in or are then better tablets out there for the money?
