If you have never heard of Longrich you are totally forgiven as neither had I until today when their first phone (to my knowledge) and first true Xiaomi Redmi destroyer hit the Chinese social media.
Chinese phone makers have a real hard time trying to keep up with Xiaomi. Most small factories simply cannot afford to sell their phones at cost which has allowed Xiaomi to run away with many of their potential customers.
It’s not impossible to compete though as phone maker Longrich are now proving with their new 6.5-inch phone. 6.5-inch might be to large for some of you but if you are a fan of large screens keep reading as the specs are amazing.
Gizchina News of the week
The display is a 1920 x 1080 FHD panel, with processing coming from the new 64bit octacore MT6572 chip which boasts FDD-LTE support. Memory is 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, there is also room for an SD card, 3300mAh battery and 13 mega-pixel camera.
The price for all these amazing features? Just 699 Yuan, around $114 for Chinese customers! What do you guys think of those specifications?

Might as well get a 7 inch tablet and use it as phone. Seriously at 6.5 inches I’d describe it as a pocket killer as you have a high chance of your pocket bursting.
The difference is only in the name and can you get a 7 inch device with similar specs for less?No you can’t .
No, you can’t get a similar device, a 7 inch tablet that is with a 64 bit processor but that’s because as far as I know there are not that many 64 bit CPUs out there yet.
Is this Longrich 2 launched though ? Can it be bought. It would indeed be nice to use as a tablet but not as a phone.
Ignore the SoC and you still can’t get 1080p, 2GB RAM with 3G for that price.
And what exactly is a phone? It’s not about voice anymore, if you want voice you can use a 10$ dumbphone. The name is not relevant anyway, call it a tablet, a phone a PC who cares.
True, it’s still a good deal but let’s not forget this is the price in China so it will be about $150 for international buyers.
Right now you can get a Teclast P79HD with about the same specs ( except for the SOC ) for $150.
Anyway it’s a nice device indeed, I was just saying I don’t see it as a phone though you could probably carry it around somehow.
No the Teclast doesn’t have 2GB RAM ,32GB on NAND and 13MP cam.
The extra 1GB RAM and 16GB NAND costs maybe 15-16$ (for them to buy) and the better cam adds a bit more.
EDIT: the Teclast P79HD #G seems to have 2GB RAM and then only the extra NAND and better cam would add 9-10$.
Dude no one gives a fuck if you want to buy this piece of shit it wont fit in your pocket it is not a “mobile” phone, how there is even a market for this shit i have no idea
It will fit in your pockets. My Z Ultra does quite easily.
6.5inch damn … Ridicoules.. Its not a phone anymore. No way that it would fit my pocket.
