Renders from Vivo’s Chinese forum show what the Vivo Xplay 5S could look like. What do you think?
Vivo have a history of tricking fans with fake renders ahead of new product launches. In the run up to the Xshot release, Vivo’s own marketing team even showed images of a phone with round shutter button which ended up being fake, not to mention the various renders before it.
With their track record firmly in mind we look at these Vivo Xplay 5S renders with a degree of uncertainty.
The first image shows the Xplay 5s sat on top of a Macbook Air and makes the phone appear to measure just a few mm in thickness.
The images then show a phone which has more screen than body from the front, with super narrow bezels across 3 of the edges really making the 6-inch device a compact phone.
Gizchina News of the week
Lastly is this render of the rear, which is quite obviously fake and who’s a narrow glass backed body and similar fingerprint scanner arrangement as the current Vivo Xplay 3S.
While I’m sure the images are fake, the leaked specs we saw last week for a model named Vivo PD1305 do look promising and showed a Snapdragon 805 chip, 3GB RAM and 6-inch 2K display, but what killer hardware is the new Xplay going to boast to really excite us?
Keep posted for more Vivo Xplay 5S news.
