Coolpad launch new flagship under the new ivvi brand

Coolpad have claimed the stake in the new 1799 Yuan price range war with a new phone under the all new ivvi brand.

Cooled have decided that their main brand is far to stuffy for cool Chinese shoppers, and that the best way to attract wealthy trendsetters is by launching a new sub brand.

Ivvi is that brand the the first phone, the Ivvi K1, has already be launched in China. Cooled have opted for the 1799 Yuan price tag for the ivvi, the same price as the Meizu Mx4 and likely the next Xiaomi Redmi flagship we have been hearing rumours about.

Although a similar price, the specifications aren’t quite on par with the Meizu, for example the display is a 5-inch HD unit, there is only 8GB of internal memory and the main camera is only 8 mega-pixel. There is also just 1GB RAM, but a Snapdragon processor does give access to LTE

Construction does look good though with the body measuring in at only 142 x 71 x 5.9mm and glass front and rear panels.

The Coolpad ivvi K1 is being marketed now in China, and will likely be available through resellers.
