It’s been quite a while since Huawei outed the Ascend P7. However, it’s only now that hopefuls in India will get to purchase this sleek device. Huawei has announced the Ascend P7 the the country for 27,999 INR, roughly translating to US$450.
Now that’s some optimistic pricing, if you ask me. The Indian market is going through a revolution of sorts, with Chinese OEMs offering powerful devices at mid-range prices. At US$450, the Ascend P7 isn’t particularly affordable.

To remind you of the specifications, the Ascend P7 comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910T processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. Fortunately, Huawei’s included a microSD slot so expansion shouldn’t be a problem. But with a price tag of US$450, one would expect to see 3GB RAM instead of just 2GB.
Imaging hardware on the Ascend P7 include a 13 mega-pixel rear shooter, and an 8 mega-pixel front facer. All of the aforementioned internals are powered by a 2500mAh LiPo, which should live enough on one charge to give you a day of use.
It’s clear that the Ascend P7 targets the fashionista rather than the power user. Either way, if you’re a resident of India, you can purchase the device from e-commerce biggie Flipkart.
