OnePlus has started an invite distribution for its one and only smartphone, the OnePlus One in India. Although the phone is not yet available in the country, it is expected to launch any day now.
The invite contest requires participants to create a ‘Never Settle statement’, i.e., a witty statement that begins with #NeverSettle. Contestants are then required to take a picture holding a placard reading their Never Settle statement. A total of 100 winners will be randomly chosen within 48 hours since the starting time of the contest.
Like we reported earlier, buyers in India will need to be in possession of an India specific invite, which naturally means that winners from this contest will not be able to share their invites with buyers from other countries/regions where the One is already available.
We’ve played with the One, and found it to be an extremely competitive device. It was, no doubt, haunted by the lack of availability in its early months; acquiring an invite now however seems to have gotten much more easier.
