Vivo, the makers of the very good Vivo Xshot and Xplay 3S are officially headed to India in the footsteps of Xiaomi and OnePlus.
Vivo, part of BBK Communication Technology, are officially off to India. The launch line up has not been confirmed but Jacky Liao, director of Vivo Mobile India, did say that 4-5 models reading from Rs 7000 to Rs 40,000 will be in the line up.
The launch is part of a partnership with Viacom18 who will be working on marketing Vivo in India and bringing digital content such as movies and music to the phones.

Vivo really deserves more. Their phones are amazingly well built, have useful features and look unique. They’re also not too expensive, especially considering all the good stuff in them.
IMO, the Xshot is the best phone I’ve ever used.
vivo are too expensive m8, and their price never goes down, right now xshot goes more than s5-m8-z3-g3 and we are talking old flagships… 480e for xshot is too much, especially when mi4-mx4-one plus, iuni with almost same specs are at 300e,heck even mx4 pro is at 400e.
the only chinese flagship that stays at 480e atm together with xshot is find7 3gb 2k version. and thats way too overpriced too and i bet when n3 comes it will have a pricedrop, lets hope when x5 max and the vivo play comes they reduce the price of xshot, its an amazing phone ,but way too overpriced imo
I agree, but take into account the build quality of vivo phones are amazing which I think reflects in the price. Any news on a vivo tablet in the making?
And here we have a person who’s never used or touched a Vivo phone before.
Indeed, ignorance makes you blind !!!
I’ve been in China since before Xiaomi ever existed so I’ve seen and handled all their phones since the beginning. Xiaomi to me has build quality far from international standards but it’s notch better than typical Chinese phones.
Meizu and Vivo blow Xiaomi out of the water when it comes to build quality. Xiaomi just doesn’t come close; when you hold it you can immediately tell it’s a Chinese phone made by a Chinese company. The Mi4’s back cover pretty much copied right off from the their cheap Redmi phone and they even managed to retain the cheap feeling of it (the back cover).
The glossy back cover was a fairly bad design choice. It would’ve been better if it were matte, but I guess that they do need to provide us with some incentive to purchase their Style Swap covers.
Too expensive? Not at all. Overpriced is when something is not worth the price, and the Xshot punches well above it’s price, probably even better than top tier phones like the GS5, One M8 and iPhone 6. If that’s overpriced to you, then you probably don’t have much money, or are just a cheapskate.
sure according to you the vivo xshot maybe is worth more than a house or a lambo gallardo… cool advert
It’s not more worth than a house. That’s you being sarcastic. I’m saying that you’re getting a device that may very well be better than most expensive flagship for a way cheaper price. It’s slightly more expensive than an Mi4, but it’s better in almost every aspect as well. Seriously, I thought you wanted to discuss things, not be a sarcastic saucy salamander.
Good to hear that Vivo is expanding. Look forward to seein it in the EU. The Xshot is one of my favorite devices I’ve used.
