Ok so the Xiaomi Mi3 isn’t the flagship phone in the Xiaomi range, but there are still plenty of fans out there who can’t wait to get hold of the source code early next year.
Xiaomi fans have been crying out to get hold of the source code for the Xiaomi Mi3, for months, and finally now the Chinese tech giant are making the right moves.
Hugo Barra has confirmed on his Google+ that Xiaomi will be releasing the source code for the Xiaomi Mi3 in Q1 of next year. This is great news but why wait for so long to release the code? Barra explains the reason is due to the fact that 2 upcoming Xiaomi device share some of the source code with the Mi3, and if it was released two early they would be letting the cat out of the bag.
So great news all round then! Developers will soon have access to the Mi3’s guts and Xiaomi fans will be able to look forward to two new devices. As for those device we believe they will be the next ten Redmi packing an octacore Snapdragon processor, and the rumoured 9.2-inch Xiaomi tablet with Snapdragon 410 chip.
