After receiving plenty of criticism for the Lenovo Sisley S90 for the design and marketing, Lenovo are under fire again for the S60 phone.
TENAA are showing the Lenovo S60 as just passing through it’s certification process and have posted specification details as well as images of the phone on their database. The first thing which springs to mind is the look of the phone that simply screams “iPhone 5c”!
Just as the plastic bodied iPhone 5C was the budget option for iOS users, the Lenovo S60 appears to be a more cost-effective device with a lower resolution 5-inch 720p display, 1GB Ram and slower 1.2Ghz processor. Camera are down when compared to the S90 too with a 5 mega-pixel on the front and 8 mega-pixel on the rear.
Bright colours will be used to draw in customers, a pink model is shown in the TENAA filing, but yellow, white and other colours will also become available. The design of the phone shows dual trays which will be for an SD card and at least one SIM.
Pricing and a launch date are not announced, but don’t expect Lenovo to make the device official outside of China.
I’m having a laugh already at what the phone wars will be like next year. All the signs are screaming it would be very ‘bloody’. Jiayu, Lenovo, Meizu, Xaiomi, ZTE, Vivo, Elephone, IUNI…the list is almost endless with many more still crawling out suited up for the brawl. The way it’s going people may start carrying 3-5 android phones alone. Even babies won’t be left out very soon cos u will be able to afford giving them one to smash within days lol
Who cares, that just means cheaper devices with better specs. Fuck flagship devices.
I don’t see Lenovo hanging there with big dogs judging by the companies horrible policy
Hideous. I can’t believe how the same firm can make such great and such shitty stuff.
Not really a good move by them… and to be honest the iPhone 5C is not really worth it to be copied… the design is awful! 😛
what the hell… Is Lenovo high? It was quite respective company, but after this… i don’t know.
C’mon Lenovo, get your shit together
Suddenly I’m really worried that this happens to be the same company that now owns Motorola… Don’t see why Lenovo suddenly feels the need to clone iPhones now.
no more words for them… they really don’t know how to sell this old hardware, so maybe they thing that starting with clones will help them… what a shame!
