Rumour has it that Meizu have a low-cost Android phone up their sleeve which could launch this side of Christmas. Those rumours were partly confirmed today when these photos appeared on Weibo.
Jack Wong himself told Meizu fans that there will be 4 Meizu product launches this year, so far we have had 2 and a 3rd could be closer than we expected as rumours claim a second Mediatek powered Meizu is launching soon.
Known simply by it’s codename the Meizu k52 has been on GFXbench with a 64bit Mediatek, Octaocre processor which should also give the phone 4G LTE as well as 3G and GSM support.
Gizchina News of the week
These images which appeared on Weibo earlier are rumoured to be of the new Meizu phone and appear to be made of a similar white plastic as the previous generation Meizu MX3. The images give us a good glimpse at the rear shell which has a similar large space for a glass lens on the rear camera, and room for what appears to be dual LED flash.
The base of the phone has a similar single speaker and USB arrangement as the current MX4 and MX4 Pro and we can just make out spaces for physical controls on the left side of the phone.
Finally the image on the inside looks like there will be no NFC and, a black famed glass panel is good news for fans of the Meizu ‘panda’ phones.
Of course we still need to wait and see what Meizu actually have planned to see if these images are genuine or not. What do you guys make of these alleged leaks?
You can see the dimensions of the screen in one of the pics, it looks like a 5 inch phone or larger based on these dimensions, not sure if that is likely or not.
Dimensions of the screen in the pic seem to be 73mmx144mm
I see there 72×148 or 73×148 but anyways it doesn’t look to have such numbers with narrow top and bottom bezels like this.
Width like for a 5-5.2 inch phone so no way to be k52.
