FDD LTE version of the Xiaomi Mi4 will launch 16th December

xiaomi mi4 review

Lovers of the Xiaomi Mi4 who need 4G LTE, will be happy to learn the FDD-LTE version of the flagship phone is scheduled for release.

The Xiaomi Mi4 has so far launched in White and Black version and with 3G WCDMA, but now it is the turn of the LTE equipped version, and more importantly the FDD-LTE version. If you are unsure of the difference in LTE on Chinese phones then let me explain it quickly for you.

TDD-LTE is an LTE version designed specifically for use on China Mobiles LTE networks and is available only in China. FDD-LTE is the more universal version of LTE and used by China Unicom and many European carriers.

So far, WCDMA black is only 16gb. So it might be the case, that regarding black 64 FD-LTE , we will have to wait a tad longer.

Hello China Phone lovers. I need some help. I am a recent convert to the china phone. I got a Jaiyu G4S (boring to you guys i know) I went for this as i just need something that does what it says on the tin. I do not game, like a screen sub 5 inch, decent batt, in short something thats been around a bit and proven to be dependable. Anyway i am rambling. My wife who i have been hassling to ditch apple and come aboard the good ship china phone has just about been persuaded, Her budget is a little higher than mine. say up $350. We are looking at Xiaomi mi3, Iuni U2 and TLH 5000. She will decide in the end. But what i seek is some tried and tested webshops to buy it from that have a european warehouse. Could you good people suggest a few where i might find one of these phones, i think she leans toward the iuni u2 and know there is an xioami shop. Sorry for long post

May you all have many wives and many children

I would go with the Mi3 of all those you listed, it is the best phone of the group and has the best support with constant updates. If you order from Xiaomishop.com they have an EU warehouse and they usually have some good deals with all sorts of freebies (cases, covers, headsets, power banks etc).

If you are set on the other brands both CooliCool and Antelife has EU warehouses.

Which resellers have good record for shopping in the US? About how long it takes to get something there? Trying to get something before Christmas.
        Thank you.

You are right, a pitty though, that their “extreme” edition (announced mid October) never reached the most common sales channels.

Is is IMHO one of the best competitors (phablets excluded).

IUNI U2 is good and cheap but some stores ship a chinese only version, so be aware of that, plus nearly no support from third party forums since its not really that popular, the Mi3 seems like a good choice, but I would also recommend the ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini only downside of the z7 mini is that it only comes with English and Chinese, no other languages are included, but it cost the same than the Mi3, and it has a better camera, dual sim, and micro SD slot, plus isnt a fucking ugly brick like the Mi3, but still the Mi3 is a safe bet and the most popular aka the one with more third party support, fuck that THL5000 shit it isnt on the same league than the Mi3/IUNI U2/Nubia Z7 Mini.

oh! there are ROMs for the z7 mini for multi languages, but stock its only English and Chinese.

I’d go for the Nubia Z7 Max – etotalk do a good deal and can supply multi-language ROM

It is a shame that Xiaomi did not managed to find a way to fix the black paint peeling issue on the metal body for the full black MI4 version.

Don’t sleep man, you can find every information you need by googling lol. Check gizmochina review regarding the black model of MI4 (Link: http://www.gizmochina.com/2014/11/25/xiaomi-mi4-black-edition-hands-on/ ). Here is one picture where you can see the paint peeling from the metal body.

That’s the reason why Xiaomi did not released the black MI4 until now and apparently they didn’t fixed the paint peeling issue. That’s what happens when you want to copy Apple. I mean they repeated the same mistake by Apple for the Iphone 4 paint peeling. So dude, it is up to you if you want to spend lots of money for the MI4 black version. Don’t sleep!
