But the review is from testing version. The prototype does not have the same camera as the final version. the testing phones have a camera with 2.2f , but the final version has 1.8f aperture.

With the 64 socs, no one cares about this buggy rom phone. Old soc, crappy battery life, the camera is disappointing for a Sony IMX 214, and the rom is buggy, wi-fi signal is poor, no LTE. Only the built quality is good. Mtk, 6732 is faster than 6592, waaaaay better GPU, LTE support, and way better battery consumption, and it’s only quad-core. So, NO, for the UMI Zero, if they sell it at 100$ they will make some money.

You’re being a little harsh, I also don’t consider Umi Zero a good deal, not for the specs, but for the money, We will have better specs very soon, and phones with much more power, even the Mali-450MP4 being a good GPU, theres no comparation with the Mali-T760 on 64Bit, the same GPU of Exynos Note 4. If the phone cost 150~180 would be a awesome deal, anyway you can justify the price in the Amoled Panel. Anyway if the phone come with LTE, could be less outdated, if we look to the future, when the 4G become global.

they could stuff a 6752 there and sell it for 250$ easily. or 6595 and sell for 270$ like hot cakes. i would buy in a heartbeat.

Perhaps a little harsh when comparing with other China brand phones. But for £125 (152 euro) I bought mine for it’s good value. Your right the soc, battery are below par but nothing bad in comparison to other Chinese phones. And the ROM does seem a little buggy (mine getting some random reboots for no apparent reason).

Lack of LTE – not worried at all – most of the time my phone is on WiFi and LTE contracts are very expensive – if I could afford a 4G contract I wouldn’t be buying a cheap phone.

But the build quality and screen are top notch – and personally the screen being good out ways the above. The screen is very important on a smartphone lets face it.

Just need a bumper case around the edges as this phone is very slippy!

I was waiting for this one for a long time to replace my Kingzone K1 as my work phone. Got sick of the constant delays so I got a Doogee Turbo 2014 and couldn’t be happier. May not be as powerful but so far it has been excellent second phone. I even take it with me over my Mi4 some days when i travel.

Of course, a time ago I’m wondering in give a 2014 like a gift. Also I’ve created a fondness for Doogee this year, all their phones looks well made. And the support is also very good, their updated their phones to 4.4.2 very fast, you know the 2014 and Dagger 550 were released with JB, and after a little time they run a very smoothly 4.4.2, I have great expectations of their phones in 2015.

Yea mine was given to me by KVD (the OEM who makes/owns Doogee). They are a client of mine. It came with 4.4.2 out of the box, I was actually surprised by that. The build quality is excellent on this phone and I look forward to see what they have in store for the future.

Not better in any way but there is something about it I just love. The phone shipped with 4.4.2 running on stock android and the build quality continues to amaze me. I am a huge Xiaomi/MIUI fan and will never give up my Mi4 (until the Mi5 comes out lol) but this little Doogee is winning me over.

    Hello Andy,
THanks a lot for the review. One question: is it possible to transfer files of more than 4 Go on the phone? In other words, is formatting ex-FAT or NTFS? THis is a very important feature for me as I like to watch HD movies on my phone without having to downscale them.
    Thanks!

Well, the page says ‘Stock added’. Apperently they had more than 1000 phones ready. (Or they let people wait). I’ve ordered one this morning If I like it I keep it otherwise I’ll probably buy a Jiayu S3

They have a new offer starting 23rd December for $204.99. Why the fluid pricing I thought $199 was the new official price, not a special offer. Also the Aliexpress seller chosen is strange. Not a huge sales record and Limoted indeed…
