Cubot’s S200 is a low-cost phone for international smartphone buyers with a large battery inside.
Cabot describe the styling of the Cubot S200 as “Elegant and Graceful”, personally i would say it’s a miss match of iPhone 5 and the leather look and fake stitching from Samsung, so if that’s what you look for in a phone then you are in look.
Behind the dubious exterior though is a solid work horse of a phone. The removable battery is a large 3300mAh unit, which would be a good size of phones with more powerful (energy sapping) hardware, so in the S200 you should be looking at very decent battery life.
A quad-core MT6582 chipset might be dated in today’s world of 64bit chips, yet it still provides a nice balance of power and battery life and leaves more room in the budget for additional features such as Hotknot, OTG, 5-inch 720p display, 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 5 mega-pixel front.
Android 4.4 Kitkat runs on the phone and has smart wake and air gesture controls built right in.
This might not be a flagship, power monster, but with a 720p display and large battery pricing is pretty good at just $107.
