Elephone’s huge battery phone, the Elephone P5000 is now available for pre-sale for $239.99 with shipping in early February.
Coming equipped with a 5350mAh battery, the Elephone P5000 promises two days of heavy usage and even doubles as a powerbank with OTG support to charge other mobile devices.
Although we haven’t yet had time to try an Elephone P5000 (our review sample should be on the way soon), the specifications do make it sound like a promising device at a good price.
Up front lives a FHD 1920 x 1080 display, a physical home button with built-in fingerprint scanner and 8 mega-pixel rear camera. The rear has a 16 mega-pixel camera and NFC for easy sync with speakers and other enabled devices.
Gizchina News of the week
What really surprises us is that for the relatively low price, the P5000 boasts the same MT6595 octacore, LTE chipset as the Meizu MX4 and 2GB RAM! Combined with the rest of the line up this is a rather exciting device!
Sorry my mistake, I was checking the specs of another phone while writing this. The Elephone P5000 has the MT6592 with no LTE. Not the same processor as the MX4. It does have 2GB RAM though.
More Elephone P5000 details can be found on the Elephone website along with links to authorised resellers offering the pre-sale.
MT6595 SoC with NFC and 5350mAh battery for $240? Are you kidding me? Where is my Debit Card?
It says that the SoC is MT6592 on their official site
According to Elephone’s website
“MT6592 1.7 GHz Octa core cpu, 2GB RAM+16GB ROM, comprehensive test
score would reach 30,000, it’s capable of challenging.”
Now where did you see the MT6595 in that specification?
