The Saygus V2 threatens Chinese smartphone domination with kevlar body and upto 320GB memory!

Chinese smartphone makers are enjoying all the attention that they are currently getting, but don’t think that other countries phone makers are sitting back while China take the lead! Case in point the amazing Saygus V2.

If I hadn’t seen hands on video of the Saygu2 V2 I would have been very skeptical as to the authenticity of the device and the claims it’s manufacturer makes. The specification sounds so far fetched my thought’s initially went back to the Xodium ‘phone’ that promised the Earth but delivered nothing.

As far as I can tell, the Saygus V2 is real, and so is the amazing hardware that includes up to 320GB of memory (64Gb built in and the rest from dual SD cards), 3GB RAM, Snapdragon processor, LTE and full Kevlar body.

It doesn’t end there though as both the front (13 mega-pixel) and rear (20 mega-pixel) camera’s have OIS as standard, there is a 3100mAh battery with wireless QI charging, and the 5-inch FHD display has a Gorilla Glass 4 display!

Saygus are currently showing off the Saygus V2 at CES where it is already wowing show goers despite no one yet knowing the launch date or retail price!

Looks like a killer phone to us, and we can’t wait to learn more about it!

Lost my interest at ‘5 inch display’, too small, shame as it looks promising. If this does get released I’d expect to see other manufacturers up their game, could be a great year for us consumers!

    I think you will find your comment is ‘useless’. I didn’t say it wasn’t any good, just no good to me due to the small screen, if it had 5.5-5.7″ I would’ve shown more interest…

    5.5inch is very silly for a phone size. Max should be 5inch in my opinion.

  I find that 5 inch is the upper limit for phone size. Any bigger and it’s just too hard to fit in you hand, in your pocket …
  If you do want 5.5 there’s plenty for phones so it’s good that there are 5 inch ones too.

if it wasnt for the cheap processor, this would be a commanding phone.
actually I want to take that back .. I am getting to the point where if it isnt water resistant, and if it does not have a programmable IR blaster, then I’m not interested.

    Yea I didnt mean cheap as in “inexpensive”, I meant “cheap processor” as in: low performance. I’d rather .. if I am already spending several hundred dollars, get a proper high perf a57 system — why arent they doing a snapdragon 810 or a modern exynos or something?
    if you look, the storage is actually from SD cards, so it really is still just a mid-range phone .. just with a lot of storage.

    heh, what are you doing in 2015 if you think an S801 is not a “cheap” processor? But this is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, I think, not an 801.
    seriously, this site is not about “cheap gear”, it is about chinese gear… chinese companies are definitely owning the mid range and reaching into the premium market. this .. is neither a chinese offering, nor a premium offering (well almost, but the processor is nothing special).

      No, this use 801. Most chinese phone use mediatek, most mediatek pale in comparison with 801 in real world usage especially the GPU and per core performance (which matter a lot more for phone apps). Inform yourself.
      FYI, I have MTK phone myself so this is not out of some fanboism, just a fact.

        you clearly fell asleep sometime in early 2014 … mediatek right now has SoCs pushing into the low 50k range in antutu, right behind the Tegra X1 nvidia just announced at CES.
        also, whether it was rightly or wrongly reported, engadget reported that this used the snapdragon 615: which runs in the mid 20k range in antutu.

        Engadget must be wrong because in a hands-on video someone from the company said it was going to be the S801, and this has been said in most of the webs I read. It’s also true that now MTK with SoC’s like de MT6795 is becoming more “high-end aware”.

They have said it was going to be 100$ below other 5-inch competitors, so my guess is 500$ or lower, if it’s 400$ I would really consider it as an option.

can somebody tell me what to do with 340gb memory on a phone and 2 128gb memorycards on top would cost you a small fortune too
