Xiaomi’s launch is the talk of the town, but don’t forget that Oppo will also release a new phone tomorrow. Here’s what the teasers are telling us.
Perhaps not as exciting as the possibility of a new Xiaomi flagship, Oppo are set to launch another new phone aimed at users who prefer style and design over all out flagship hardware.
TENAA details have revealed the Oppo R1C has a Snapdragon 615 processor, 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 mega-pixel rear and body thickness of just 6.85mm.
There could be a few more details up Oppo’s sleeve though. Recent teasers seem to suggest that the R1C will be compatible with all 4G LTE networks in China (a great move for Oppo who have been purposely blocking FDD-LTE in certain models), and may even get a Sapphire glass display.
Gizchina News of the week
The Sapphire glass rumour refers to a teaser that shows a jewel plus the front of the phone, however it may just hint at a diamond pattern which has been designed in to the mirror finish of the Oppo R1C’s body.
Whatever Oppo have planned we will learn the full details tomorrow, but chances are this phone is for Asian markets only.
