Meizu will be announcing something on the 19th of this month. From past experience we can assume it will be the release date of the Meizu m1 mini.
Just in time for the end of the Chinese New Year, Meizu will be holding another launch event the date and location of which should be revealed on the 19th of January.
Gizchina News of the week
It’s highly likely that Meizu will release their new Meizu m1 mini, a phone loosely based on the Meizu m1 note, but with smaller 5-inch display and low retail price (699 Yuan is expected).
Press in China have also been reporting how the release of an Ubuntu phone and smart Android home appliances could also be at the launch event.

What I would really love is an update on the international firmware for my MX4… I know they just released 4.1.8A now and that they are also testing the “I” firmware but those like me that use only stable international firmware we are still in 4.0.4.1i
Who knows, maybe soon we will get also something. >.<
Looking forward to a smaller phone finally , so is it gonna be 5 ” or 4.6″ size
Loved the mx2 size. this is should be the same size IMO.
{but will probably never happen}
Funny how we are calling 5 inch small nowadays.
Wonder if they also launch the ubuntu phone , but then again it’s not really gonna sell till apps are made for it, more for ubuntu developers I guess.
5-inch is the size according to our sources
wasn’t there also a rumor of some 4.6 inch Meizu blue charm phone back in december !!!
Just saying it might happen ? give it a chance.
I think it is going to get a 720p display with MT6732 SoC. I will go with the bigger one.
Ubuntu phone? Sounds good.
