The Huawei Honor 6 Plus boasts a sleek design and interesting dual camera arrangement on the rear. Let’s see it’s like in the flesh though in a hands on and first impressions.
Huawei really excited us with their great range of phones last year. It seemed they had every base covered. from affordable to high-end, and now even the camera-centric route is covered with the Huawei Honor 6 Plus.
If you were to take a quick look at the new Huawei Honor 6 Plus in comparison to the standard Honor 6 you would be forgiven that there is very little difference between the two phones. The both feature stylish bodies, available in white or black, and they both run a Hisilicon processor, but it’s on the rear things get a little different.
Gizchina News of the week
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus boasts 3 x 8 mega-pixel cameras, 1 on the front and 2 on the rear. The two rear cameras on the rear are which really set the Honor 6 Plus apart from the rest, but is this actually a feature or just a gimmick? We’ll answer that question in our full review coming soon. For the article is just a taster of the new Huawei device.

Everyone is eagerly waiting for it.
nothing less than whats expected from gizchina….waiting eagerly
I got my today it’s sexy with nice slim body nice In the hands, 5.5 is better than 5.7 for my hands anyway, I’ve just got started with e mui and so far it looks a root job ahead because so far I’m not a big fan of that.
Beside of that, it seems to be working fine, 4g is fast as hell and WiFi is smooth, there where no gplay preinstalled but it was hassle free to download, but I will come back with more comments later, but so far nice phone at a nice price.
camera samples please!
Heya where did you buy it? 🙂 I was considering Oppomart but i’m worried since there are so many website to go for!
Aliexpress and the shops name is fantacy fast delivery very good communication, and the price was good too, good luck dude. Hope you will be satisfied.
So the Ascend mate 7 has the awesome fingerprint tech
The Honor 6 Plus has this cool Dual camera tech that looks to be awesome
and the Honor 6 has the best body to screen ratio plus great overall size.
So we need 3 phones to get the best tech from Huawei , it’s a fail strategy !!!
Huawei make one damn flagship that has everything in it and heck I’ll buy 2 of them even.
Honor is a Huawei sub brand, so they probably won’t want to cannibalize sales of their parent brand’s flagship.
Honor 6 has best body to battery ration, not body to screen. They stuffed in a 3100mAh battery, dual sim, sd card slot, IR blaster, all into a 7.5mm slim body.
is the back made of glass, or only plastic? The Honor 6 had a plastic back which was very susceptible to ugly scratching.
It’s still plastic to my knowledge.
Is the screen having Gorilla Glass technology or any form of anti-scratch technology? Or just susceptible to scratch at any contact?
Beauty
Is it metal on the edges or plastic?
Metal on Honor 6 plus. The 5inch Honor 6 instead has a faux plastic on sides.
Nobody speaks about the Lenovo Z2 pro K920. Has anybody an opinion about this phone ? Maybe it would have a place in this conparative test !
I got mine and I have been testing it for a day, and so far I can say that everything in this phone is awesome expect for the camera, which has a mediocre response time and an awful quality in low light conditions. Funny thing is that precisely the camera is the “special” feature of this phone.
I just got mine. Quick test over last few hours and I am loving it. Just emailed camera pics to cousin with honor 6 and he said pictures are great. So at very least comparable to his in normal mode from his admittedly quick look.
The aperture mode works great with portraits especially. Its slower and want to have a still subject preferably or I find the picture I took and what I thought I was taking are two different times/positions.
The aperture mode allows for both background effects/art filter and
overall. Which is how the kitten sample pic has a patterned background.
Can perform colour pop effect by making background b&w in a flower
pic etc
Normal photo mode is fast enough for me as can burst up to 20 photos. Focus isnt as fast as I thought it would be vs lg g3 Considering how fast they claim it is. Still its good enough for most uses. I havnt checked if going down to 8mp from 13mp changes anything.
Havnt played with night shots but its better than my last phone indoors. But that was just a Nokia lumia 620.
Hi all! Is the screen having Gorilla Glass technology or any form of anti-scratch technology? Or just susceptible to scratch at any contact?
huawei honor 6 plus have gorrila glaas or not ….????
