The first MT6752, 3GB RAM phone goes on presale today to international phone users. The iOcean MT6752 Rock is on presale now from $199.99.
There has been a lot of concern surrounding the price of the iOcean MT6752 Rock and other MT6752, 3GB RAM equipped Chinese smartphones. The worry being that international prices, plus shipping and other costs would push pricing through the roof.
iOcean has got themselves out of the gates first and managed to begin presales of their iOcean MT6752 Rock phone through reseller partners who will distribute the phone worldwide. iOcean have set the regular retail price of the MT6752 at $229.99, but customer who order early will benefit from a lower price. According to the details the first 300 phones will cost $199.99, the following 100 for $209.99 and the final offer price of $219.99 will also be limited to 100 units.
iOcean MT6752 Rock Specifications
Gizchina News of the week
Specifications for the iOcean MT6752 Rock include a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, octacore 64bit MT6752 chipset, 3GB RAM, dual SIM 4G LTE, dual WIFI, 14 mega-pixel main camera, fast charger dual speakers and thin 8.2mm body. The rest of the specs can be seen below:
[table id=193 /]Looking over the specifications the only areas of concern for us are the 2300mAh battery and 16GB of internal memory. The small battery might possibly be ok to live with thanks to the added function of a fast charger and hopefully a well optimised ROM will ensure a useable battery life. Internal memory is low at 16GB, but at least there is room for an SD card (although 128GB support would have been nice).
What remains to be seen is just how well the iOcean MT6752 Rock performs in our upcoming review, and also how JiaYu and Elephone will respond with their rival devices.
What do you think of the iOcean MT6752 Rock? How’s the specification and what do you think of the international price?
An octa-core soc with only A53 cores? I would prefer a quad-core with A57 cores.
Still waiting on the Elephone P7000 and JiaYu S3.
Offer price not good. Too long a wait and already sites show special price not available. I’d rather have a better phone with no wait even if it means I don’t get it the first month it is released. I don’t like paying money before a phone is released. No guaranty when or if it will be released.
