One of the big draws of the JiaYu S3 is it’s octacore, 64bit MT6752 processor. How does this new mid-range chip perform and is it the powerhouse we had been hoping? Find out with our JiaYu S3 MT6732 benchmarks.
Mediatek really have Qualcomm on the ropes this year, where as the current range of Snapdragon chips are less than underwhelming, Mediatek are taking the phone world by storm. As usual Chinese phone makers have been the first to take advantage of Mediatek’s new hardware to make their already great hardware even more powerful than before.
Luckily we received the JiaYu S3 smartphone earlier which boasts a 64bit MT6752 chipset. This is an octacore chipset running at 1.7Ghz and a Mali-T760 GPU. The version of the JiaYu S3 that we have on test is the 2GB RAM version running Android 4.4.4 Kitkat ans like all S3 versions has a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display.
As this is the first MT6752 phone I have had chance to really play around with I ran a host of benchmark applications to give the JiaYu S3 and the MT6752 processor a through test. Below are the results:

In addition to these test I also tested the GPS and managed a lock on time of under a minute which isn’t quite as good as the Elephone P6000 we tested a short while back (with MT6732 processor).
As you can see we have got some pretty good scores from the JiaYu S3 and the MT6752 chipset itself, of course real world testing is the only real measure of how well a phone performs and I intend to write up a full and complete review.

This phone seems to be the one everyone is waiting for 2015. It would be nice if you let us know how the GPS perform, meaning accuracy. One minute lock is acceptable as long as it’s accurate once you are driving.
Thanks for the review anyway, so far the best reviews around the web
Btw MHL and OTG functions are available on Jiayu S3Advnc? Hope to see the full review soon. Thank you again Andi.
