Purported HTC A55 specifications boast MT6795 chip and 3GB RAM


Purported leaked specification details of the HTC A55 claim it isn’t a flagship, but the hardware certainly looks the part.

A Chinese tipster going by the name @upleaks, has posted purported specification details of the HTC A55, a phone the tipster says will not be a flagship phone.

According to the details the new HTC model will boast a 5.5-inch 2K display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, 20 mega-pixel front camera and either a 13 mega-pixel or ultrapixel front camera.

The phone will run a powerful Mediatek MT6795 octacore processor, a 64bit model with Mediates CorePilot, and ClearMotion technologies for a faster and smoother experience.

Specifications gone on the say that the HTC A55 will have a battery of no less than 3000mah, will get Boomsound, dual SIM and run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

A release date of late Feb 2015 for Asian markets is listed too. Interesting specs, now we just need to wait and see if @upleaks is in the know.

      Well, it will be less expensive than its Snapdragon 810 counterpart…

      And speds are nice and sound for a 2015 smartphone.

      With a sub 400USD price it might be a real killer.

        you really think this will be sub 400? Most people are thinking 800+ haha, I really wouldn’t mind either because I need a new phone, but anything over 1000 might make me cry

            Yeah, I might hold off for the M9 if that’s true, but other than the gpu and cpu this is an expensive phone, no less than 600 but no more than 800 IMO

      mainly the qualcomm cpu 😛 4gb ram (dunno if this one uses ddr3 or ddr4) prop better camera, bigger battery and ye well thats about it …

      WQHD is still 2560×1440. It only stand for Wide Quad High Definition.

    yup….WQHD + “not big battery (less than 3000)” = STUPID. Nuff said…. unless if someone can show me MT6795’s efficiency numbers.

    when Jiayu find the 6795 and make phone with 3000+ battery. Im waiting for the best combo for a Chinese with real price phone not overpriced because they need it!
