Huawei said they are set to take on the premium phone market from this year forward and according to the latest Huawei P8 leaks they weren’t kidding.
Huawei recently announced that they would be shifting their focus away from the entry-level phone market to work on boosting sales for their mid-range and flagship phones. Reasons for this being huge competition from Xiaomi, Meizu, and all manner of smaller phone makers, plust the fact there is simply no profit available for them.
Instead Huawei won’t to work on improving their mid-range and flagship ranges and launch phones that will excite buyers and draw them away from devices made by Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo. They also help a more premium brand image can boost overseas sales.
Gizchina News of the week
With this in mind leaked Huawei P8 specifications do look promising. An image recently posted on Weibo in China states the new P8 model will bost a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 display, Kirin 930 16nm processor, 2600mAh battery all packed in to a body measuring only 6mm.
Some analysts have speculated that the P8 might be also feature the sale dual camera technology as the Huawei Ascend P6 Plus, but with an upgrade from 8 mega-pixel to 13 mega-pixel. We can also expect at least 3GB RAM from the phone and the latest version of Huawei EMUI.
The major issue is the price, for at 2999 Yuan we cannot help but feel that latest Xiaomi, and even Oppo phones might be a major rival at this high price point.
I hope Huawei uses a powerful GPU .
Huawei phones are great , but I couldn’t understand why they use midrange and Upper midrange GPUs in their flagships .
It’s quite uncommon that no leaks and rumours about its CPUs clock speed .
And about the dual camera I am eagerly waiting for the review .
when is it expected? it’s awfully early if it is a this year phone
Despite the price 16nm Kirin 930 and possibility of a dual camera setup similar to Honor 6 Plus making it attractive to me, but they are really sucks at the Android updates.
Their P6 and P6s stacked at Kitkat and no word for Lollipop. Those were their star players at the time. They stalled a long time even Kitkat update for P6. As well I know they didn’t announced any solid update plan even for P7.
They don’t have any excuse. Those contains their own chips, they weren’t that cheap and those aren’t old enough to lefting hang out to dry.
For a company which had big ambitions they have to back their old machines properly at least for a while.
And its good they didnt jump into Lollipop so quick with lots of bugs in it. They have brought Emui3.0 updates for the phones and if you use that you are more than happy to wait a lot more time before lollipop update.
u are stupid when u looking for useless updates.. instead of enjoying btfl piece of ART !!!!
am not ignorant if am a ignorant i wont stop at you and interact with you
