A few days ago on the iOcean Facebook page, an alloy chassis from an upcoming model was revealed, not purported specifications for the new phone are in uncovering a smaller flagship.
iOcean are one of the first Chinese smartphone makers to join the 64bit revolution with a flagship device. The M6752 Rock, follows similar specifications to the JiaYu S3 and Elephone P7000 with 64bit MT6752 chipset, 3GB RAM and 5.5-inch FHD display.
We are going to be seeing plenty of other manufacturers complete with this recipe for a flagship as the year continues, however fans of smaller devices needn’t feel left out.
Last week iOcean posted an image of an alloy chassis from an upcoming phone that many, including us, believe to be from the upcoming iOcean X9. This new model will feature a thin alloy chassis, and believed to boast s 5-inch FHD display.
Gizchina News of the week
Some smartphone resellers have already stated to list the iOcean X9 at below $200, which is a good price if the specifications remain accurate. One listing shows the X9 as sporting an octacore MT6752 64bit chipset, 3GB RAM, 14 mega-pixel rear camera, 4G LTE, fast charging and HotKnot. The specs even go on to show the phone will have dual SIM support and will work with 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, 3G: WCDMA 850/1900/2100MHz and 4G: FDD-LTE 800/1800/2600MHz networks.
For now we can only take the details with a pinch of salt, but will be keeping a close eye on the official iOcean Facebook for actual official specs once the phone is revealed.
