64bit processor in Chinese phones means Android Lollipop on Chinese phones, and development is moving fast with Uletone jumping on board with the Ulefone Be Pro.
Ulefone might be new (as a brand) to the Chinese smartphone scene, but they are moving fast to keep up and are already showing up more established phone makers with development of Android 5.0 Lollipop for their Be Pro.
When Ulefone began promotion of the Be Pro they promised a Lollipop update was on the cards. Owners of the phone have wondered when Lollipop might be released and the answer could be sooner than we had thought. A video posted by Ulefone shows the Be Pro running an Alpha version of Lollipop, the final build will be released once all the bugs have been ironed out.
Gizchina News of the week
In a statement Ulefone ask fans “not to panic, Lollipop is coming soon”. The wait will at least be another few weeks though as Ulefone, like all other China based companies, will be celebrating the 2 week Chinese New Year vacation from tomorrow.

Looks much better than Elephone’s recent attempt, which was soooo laggy. If they can release a version with very few bugs it will be quite an achievement, well done Ulefone!
Now, about the quality of your videos…
That looks pretty smooth to me, also the screen looks very good too with excellent viewing angles. wonder who will be the first to release a stable build of lollipop??
I’m currently betting on Ulefone. I’d like to say UMi, but MediaTek’s giving them problems by not releasing the source code for MTK6592. Elephone may come close, but I don’t think their version will be very stable.
I’ve received 2 firmware updates in the last 5-6 days. Unfortunately my mic doesn’t work. Gearbest has agreed to replace the phone. Now all I have to do is ship it back to them. With this holiday coming up in China, turn around is likely to be two-three weeks. That’s a long time to be without a phone. Maybe the replacement phone will come with lollipop.
Hey there, how did you get them to get you a replacement? I have serious issues with mine Be Pro, but I can’t get them to reply at all.
