China’s been producing iPhone clones (aka chiPhones) ever since Apple first thought of making a phone. In the beginning, these phones were just good enough to be called phones; they hardly lasted much and weren’t really fit for international sale.
However, through the 7-8 years, Chinese OEMs have learnt a lot and are now producing iPhone clones that rival the real thing… almost. One of the most powerful iPhone 6 clones from China is the elusive Dakele 3, about which we’ve been hearing since a while, but the phone itself, in its flesh, is quite a rarity.
It turns out that the device just went on sale in China through Tmall earlier today, with an asking price of 1,699 CNY or roughly US$272, despite having an official price tag of 1,499 CNY. That’s perhaps the cost you pay to be one of the first owners of the device.
Gizchina News of the week
If you aren’t aware of the specifications, the device has a 5-inch 1080p display with Sapphire Glass coating and the all-new and powerful MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor, as seen on the cheaper JiaYu S3. To complete its high-end-ness the phone also has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. Like the new breed of Meizu phones, the Dakele 3 comes with an aircraft grade aluminum body.
Last but not least, the device features a 13 mega-pixel camera on the rear, and an 8 mega-pixel sensor on the front to make for a decent camera combo. It is powered by a 2500mAh battery.
So you call this powerful? How much more the original? I thought its a snapdragon 801/ 800 or mt6595. Misleading title!
I still choose Jiayu S3 even the 2gb version over this.
Ok maybe its the “most powerful iphone 6” inspired phone but still not powerful for me.
Yea l also like the Jiayu S3 but the 3gb…it’s better for future extra stuff
hey which site i u got it from?
Snapdragon 801 and MTK6595 will never have the potential of the MTK6752 chip and it’s 64-bit capabilities. It is considerably powerful. Not as powerful as A8, but close enough for the price.
Besides the better battery management the 64 bit is just marketing. Truth is the most apps run at 32 bit, they don’t use multitasking feature, they don’t use more than one core, they don’t use multi-threading. The only apps that require all the horsepower are games and the adreno 330 is almost 4 times performer than that Mali.
By the time that we have the “switch” to 64 bit the 6752 is going to be as obsolete as the 801.
64-bit or not MT6752 never will be better than these though it’s easy to consider it powerful at a certain price range.
how powerful do you need it? do people calculate prime numbers or encode blurays on their phones or something..lol. it just needs to make calls, send texts/emails and browse the internet for most people. dont need a 16 core 5ghz 22gb ram phone for that… my current phone is 2 years old and can run any app with ease and its nowhere near most present day specs. all this power is just for benchmark comparisons. makes little difference in real world use..
Anyone know if it has a notification led?
