Vibe Shot… if the name reminds you of one phone, it has to be the Vivo Xshot. And like the Xshot, the Vibe Shot too is going to be a shutterbug’s delight.
According to reports, China’s Lenovo (the same company that impressed us with the Vibe X2 at the IFA) is working on the all new Vibe Shot for an MWC release. According to a report, the phone will have a 16 mega-pixel sensor to make for a very indulging camera experience (as the renders reveal also).
Gizchina News of the week
It won’t really be the worlds most powerful phone; it’ll however be able enough for your daily tasks thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, but with a bit if a twist — 3GB of RAM. Most phones that we’ve seen featuring the Snapdragon 615 have mostly been mid-range devices (or design experiments), and have usually 2GB of RAM on offer.
To make sure the phone is on top of its (imaging) game, Lenovo will also reportedly include triple-tone flash and laser auto-focus besides of course, OIS. Other purported features of the phone include 4G LTE support, 32GB of on-board memory (expandable via microSD) and a 5-inch 1080p display.
Given that the Vivo Xshot still happens to be a popular phone, it is clear that there’s definitely a market for devices like this one. So, which one would you rather go for? This, or the Xshot?

expensive af phone in the works !
The last few Lenovo’s have been very promising but they are still bogged down by one of the worst versions of Android I have ever used. If they would just throw in the towel in either use near stock Android (except for the excellent camera app from Lenovo) I would seriously consider one. But as of right now my next phone is the Mi Note which has a very good camera for what I need.
That talk about their poorly performing Android is what popping up whenever it’s subject of any kind. This stops me from buying one and frankly that disappoints me, because the hardware looks great and seems to be very promising
Yea hopefully with the acquisition of Motorolla we will see some improvements on the software side. They make really good looking and built phones but the UI they use is a mess. If you are looking for a good camera App though, the Lenovo Super Camera is one of the best available.
Vibe 2.0 is great and has been getting great reviews. TBH, I didn’t miss MIUI when I used that (especially after the apple-ization aka dumbing down in MIUI 6).
