We’ve seen how well the octacore, 64bit MT6752 performs in the JiaYu S3 with 2GB RAM, now it’s time to see how it does with an additional 1GB RAM with iOcean MT6752 benchmarks.
The iOcean MT6752 Rock is the first new release from iOcean for 2015 and their current flagship device, it is also one of the first 64bit MT6752 phones to come with 3GB RAM as standard. Specifications a similar to other MT6752 phones, and include a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, with a Lollipop update promised for the near future.
With those specs in mind and the fact that this is the first MT6752 phone we have tested with 3GB RAM we were excited to see what benchmarks the iOcean MT6752 Rock was capable of. Take a look at the iOcean MT6752 benchmark results below.

iOcean MT6752 Benchmarks Conclusion
The benchmark results from the iOcean MT6752 are in some cases better than those of the JiaYu S3 (2GB RAM) and in other cases quite a bit worse. As both the JiaYu S3 and the iOcean are running pratically the same hardware we can put the difference in benchmark performance down to ROM optimisation. The iOcean MT6752 Rock is fresh from the factory and will obviously need a few updates to get it running as smoothly as the MT6752 is possible this is most notable in the poor 3D Mark benchmark score which is almost half that of the JiaYu S3.
After a day of using the phone I can say that for everyday use and regular social media apps, web browsing etc, the iOcean performs well, but gaming really isn’t as smooth as we would expect of the phone.
Hopefully iOcean will release updates soon and we will see some more impressive benchmarks and score from the latest iOcean.
