We’ve been very impressed with the performance of the latest Mediatek chipsets, but looking at the scores from the MT6795 there is a lot more in store.
Mediatek already managed to bag a first place for it’s MT6595 with the top average Antutu scores of 2014. Their next chip builds on the MT6595 with similar core technologies but a 64bit architecture instead.
Leaks of the MT6795 have looked very promising, now a Geekbench score gives us another hint at the processors amazing performance.
Gizchina News of the week
The Mediatek MT6795 managed to score a huge 4536 points in the Multi-core benchmark, beating the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 which scored just 4345 points.
Both chipsets are 8-core, 64bit processors running 4 x Cortex A57 and 4 x Cortex A53 cores, and both were running Android 5.0 Lollipop for the benchmark.
We cannot wait to see which company launches the first MT6795 phone and put the device through it paces in real life testing situations.
I can’t wait to try the 480fps recording!
Been waiting for this chip for a long time. The single core score looks a little low to me however, but its only running at 2GHz and not the full speed 2.2GHz. Knowing MT however, they will launch the 2GHz version in the March and the the 2.2GHz will probably be the ‘turbo’ version and will launch a few months later. I reckon it will be April/May before we see the full speed version in an actual handset.
It’s a mid range chip no matter what. 2.2ghz or not it’s still an A53
Thanks, was just looking at the very same page when you sent me the link! lol Also found another link saying it has 4xA57 and 4xA53 cores, this benchmark sort of confirms it..
