Ecoo’s E04 Aurora is arguably the company’s best designed phone. It comes with the very powerful MediaTek MT6752 64-bit, octa-core processor, and has 2GB of RAM to go with the impressive design. What should sound like music to your ears is the fact that the phone now has a ‘Plus’ variant — Ecoo E04 Aurora Plus — which packs in the much needed 3GB RAM.
The rest of the phone remains the same — there’s the same 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display sitting on top of the frame, 16GB of on-board storage, and 16 mega-pixel / 8 mega-pixel front and rear cameras besides a 3000mAh battery. Basically, its just the amount of RAM — and the model name — that has changed.
Gizchina News of the week
The price too stays at the same sub-$200 point. Comparing it to the Galaxy S6 is somewhat a far-fetched thing to do, but we here at GizChina have a soft corner for Chinese phones. Resellers such as Geekbuying have listed the phone for the same US$190 as the 2GB RAM version, which should mean that Ecoo are replacing the initial model with this one rather than offering a higher-end option alongside it.
Thats a nice video but the fact that its made by Efox/Coolicool leaves a bad aftertaste. They should spend more energy on giving customer service than on making promotion videos.
I think at my chinese purchases like a poker bet where i´m big favorite 90-10%,if the hardware fails on you just move on,usualy oem are decent and don´t break
Ever see how expensive smartphones with a lot of storage are? I’d like it if Ecoo released a variety of the Aurora Plus with 32gb of memory that’d be great, just so long as its within the price range of the other versions. :'(
And so what? Did they promise to deliver at least two next versions of the OS? If not then it is going to be the same as Zopo ZP980 2G/32G was – powerful device … which stuck on outdated and full of security holes OS version. Customers will pay for hardware resources which won’t be use …
Every since the 3gb plus version released, they’ve all been shipping with the most up to date version of Andoid, Lollipop, also don’t forget that the Aurora series comes rooted out of the box, which I think is sweet as hell. :’P
