Huawei’s P series (earlier known as the Ascend P series) is known for the design than anything else. It has been learnt that Huawei is working on a ‘Max’ version of the P8 (which itself was confirmed some days back), with a rather large screen for a phone.
The leaks show what is believed to be the phone in two angles, and from those pictures, I can tell that the P8 Max is going to be a very slim phone. Also, the edges seem to take cue from the iPhone 6/Samsung Galaxy S6, in the sense that they seem to be rounded.
The last P-series phone from Huawei, the Ascend P7 featured a 6.5mm thin body, upon which the P8 Max is expected to build with a thickness of just 6mm. It’s going to be quite large even for a phablet with a 6.8-inch screen – it hasn’t been long since 7-inch devices were classified as tablets.

The launch of the P8 is expected to take place in under a month, which is when we also expect the P8 Max to be announced. Huawei has been gradually taking a grip on the market, especially since the launch of the Honor 6 which was a truly worthy phone. In fact, the successor — the Honor 6 Plus — didn’t do too bad either, but the P-series is yet to take off in a similar manner.
