ZTE haven’t quite managed to keep the flagship Nubia Z9 underwraps, the phone even managed to appear at MWC starring in a number of hands on photos. A launch event for the phone has now been announced so what can we expect.
Nubia, the flagship brand of ZTE, have announced that they plan to launch the Nubia Z9 at a launch event held in Beijing on 26th March 2015. We’ve already seen plenty of leaked spy photos of the Z9 showing a glass/alloy construction, a big update compared to the plastic body of the Z7, but is there anything else to expect.
Chances are that Nubia will be releasing 3 versions of the Z9, and that the leaked images we have posted so far only show the flagship model. We also expect Nubia to launch a budget Nubia Z9 Mini and also a Nubia Z9 Max with similar design, the same Nubia ROM but a lower price than the flagship phone.
Gizchina News of the week
It’s possible that Nubia will launch the Z9 with Android 5.0 Lollipop and we will see a Snapdragon 810 chip in their flagship, and possibly even high-end Mediatek chips in the lower priced phones. RAM should range from 2-3GB, and dual SIM support is a feature that we should see carried over from current phones.
Nubia had a stand a MWC this year, which might indicate that the online only brand could see a larger international launch this year too.
Keep posted for more Nubia Z9 launch news.
We are waiting for your take on the Z7 Max, Andi.
That design is fantastic. Can’t wait for it to launch.
