The iPhone 6 Plus-esque ZTE Blade S6 Plus now listed

We’ve talked about the ZTe Blade S6 before; if you missed it, here’s what you need to know: the phone is essentially a mid-range Snapdragon 615 powered device, but with a design that resembles the iPhone.

Coincidentally, another phone that we talked about today — the Ulefone Dare N1 — also resembles the iPhone, but in a very nonchalant manner… its more of an outright clone. Anyway, coming back to the Blade S6, the phone does seem to be in the wishlist of many, but had been facing delays in shipping for some reason.

Gizchina News of the week

About a month back, the phone went on pre-sale, but took its own time in coming in stock. Earlier today we received news that another version of the phone, i.e., the ZTE Blade S6 Plus (‘Plus’… a coincidence?) just got listed also. Like the Blade S6 is inspired by the iPhone 6, the Blade S6 Plus looks like it takes its inspiration from the iPhone 6 Plus.

It has a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p screen, the same Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM 16GB ROM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and 5 mega-pixel front camera. The device can be pre-ordered from Gearbest for $299.99, but GizChina readers can use a coupon code ‘ZTES6PLUS’ to get additional $20 off of the retail price.

Do any of these iPhone 6 impostors entice you? Let us know.

Hi Yash, thank you for the article. I want to buy a new phone but can’t decide which one to buy. My budget is 250€ and I am looking for a device with a screen size between 4.7 and 5 inch.

    Devices list:

    – IUNI U3 Mini (apparently it will be sold at 1999 Yuan in China, I guess that the price will be higher for international buyers)

    – THL 2015 (a great phone at a good price)
    – Siswoo Cooper i7 (amazing device for the price from a brand new company with no track record…what’s your feelings about the phone? worth to buy or not)
    – Lenovo P70
    – ZTE Blade S6 (much powerful cpu comparing to Redmi 2)

    – Redmi 2 Pro (which is sold around $190)

    Any advice will be welcome!

    Thanks.
    Yan

You two must be very militant lefties! When microphone/speaker position is important, screen position or orientation is not, so just hold it to your left ear with your left hand the “right” way up. As for the buttons
