This is nice, but how is this going to compete with the Asus Zenfone 2? Like the One Plus, the Zenfone 2 is a true world phone as it supports all the major 3g and 4g frequencies. Asus is going to sell boatloads of the Z2 while the rest sit back and watch.
Until all of the specs are announced we don’t really know if it can or will compete with the Zenfone 2. As for them selling boatloads it remains to be seen. Asus doesn’t have the stigma or brand loyalty that companies like Samsung, Apple or Xiaomi have. Most Chinese phones skip the “world” 3G bands because the market in those countries is so small for their devices. For a phone like this to succeed it needs to sell in 2 markets: China and India. It has all the specs on paper but what might hold it back is the ugly styling of the device and the fact that is thicker than most competitors.
