The Nubia Z9 launch conference is going to take place six days from now and anticipation is running high. Among the devices we’re expecting to see at the event are the Nubia Z9, Nubia Z9 Max and possibly even a Nubia Z9 Plus. Nubia has sent out invitations for the event, and boy are they heavy!
The invitation comes packaged in a big box along with some other goodies. Aside from the invitation itself, there’s also:
- A commemorative metal frame, which may hint at that size and shape of the phone.
- A micro tripod.
- Three different lenses. (10x telephoto, fisheye and macro)
The tripod and lens are made of metal and feel very solid and well built. In fact, if they were to be launched as accessories, they could probably cost around 400-500 yuan.
Gizchina News of the week
- The metal frame from the invitation box. It’s slightly larger than an iPhone 6.
- The tripod (the body and brackets are made of metal).
The three different lenses, telephoto, fish eye and macro.
Overall, this is quite the impressive effort from ZTE to build up the excitment of the Nubia Z9 which obviously has quite an impressive camera sensor/application to make the most of all these camera-centric goodies. Leaks for the Nubia Z9 suggest 3 versions of the flagship phone will launch with up to 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 810 chipsets options.
Let’s hope the final product lives up to they hype!
Very excited about this launch…..and Chinese are being innovative in their invitations…
Looks very promising and professional.
I’ve always been a fan of Nubia design, price and specs, not so happy with their software and support. Hopefully this 2015 is going to be different.
Nice to see you writing here Airyl, congrats.
I owned the Z7 (2k version) and it was very close to being a great phone. The only thing really holding it back was a horrible UI. I ended up giving it to my friend and bought a Mi4.
How about sw updates? I bought the Z5S mini for my brother and believe it will stay 4.2.2 forever and ever (he later changed phone for a Mi3).
I have the same phone I rooted it after first week. Now I am on cm 12 android 5.0.2. Don’t reply on your manufacturer be pro active.
I wouldn’t mind a phone being stuck on 4.2 if it was stable and working. But my Z7 was anything but.
