Elephone Halo is their most unique phone to date

Elephone are preparing to launch a new phone named the Halo, that is their most unique design to date.

Very little is known about the Elephone Halo’s specification, although it is likely to follow the Mediatek 64bit formula and that it is rumoured to launch sometime in April.

As you can see the design of the Halo is rather interesting especially from the rear which shows a multicoloured panel design. In actual fact Elephone have been inspired by JBL and have covered the rear of the Halo with multicoloured LED lights. The idea being that the LED’s follow the beat of music to create attractive patterns, we also assume that Elephone have added notification support to the rear panel too, and hope that the LED’s will react to external music sources too.

The Elephone Halo is certainly a novel idea, but is it one that you are likely to want from your Android smartphone?

anyway, i quite like the idea, not that much as color music but rather as original notification tool. I know…one LED for notification is enough but…anyway i would rather see it first then buy it blindly in some china shop

        i also keep bashing zopo and oppo (rhymes suspiciously :P)
        i also bash poorly specced and overpriced phones 😀
        what im more concerned about , tho , is how to order a device from china AND deal easily with the pesky pak customs without paying them a fortune in fees.

        I made the mistake of buying zopo once but never again!…….Bought that before the PTA bullshit!!!
        Anyway, ive bought an IUNI U3 and now a jiayu s3 as well a iocean rock. I bypassed the pakistani customs…had them delivered to dubai at my brother’s place…..and have them delivered via relative once they travel from dubai to pakistan. I did have a tablet delivered through DHL though, the bloody customs took their cut which wasnt that bad….but the main thing was the warehouse charges, the tablet was stored for a week until i got the NOC from PTA(it takes atleast a week),the warehouse charges were almost 40-50% of the tablet cost.
        So i would recommend not to have tech delivered directly primarily coz of the PTA @$$&^%$# 😛

Elephone have got so many models out there it’s just silly. This company does not have the resources for quality build and software support for all those models.

    Every China manufacturer besides the big three want`s to be the jack of all trades and churns out all kinds of different models(for your kids, for your wife, for your grandma)with most of them ending up in warehouses for a long long time, until a super-sale comes in or they give them away.

      this is where the chinese need to learn a bit. Quantity doesnt matter at all if your product is NOT upto the top-notch Quality levels and is NEVER going to see the light of the day.

        p6000 is indeed a beast for a low price. i recommend you go for it if u want , but beware , the camera isnt good for low light.
        what im saying is that these companies should release at most 8-10 phones per year EACH divided into different quarters of the year. eg 2 phones q 1 2016 , then further 2 q2 2016 and so on…
        THIS will allow them to focus MORE on :
        1. After-sales customer services.
        2. Solidifying their warranty service.
        3. Quality Control.
        4. Merge MANY different ideas into ONE/TWO BEAST phones instead of releasing one phone per idea.
        5. Expanding their services to international level through outlets.

      Not all of them, in fact most of them only release like 2 or 3 models for each price point unlike Elephone.

  Well maybe they just don’t want to be on top. Creating mass confusion for potential buyers is all they care for.
This is a GREAT feature to have…if you want to run down your batteries efficiently.

  Any relative in any other country would do…… Dubai and Bahrain are better due to them being tax havens….. I have heard sometimes if u order through normal mail not dhl or couriers….. Your package can slip through if they label it as something else other than a phone…… But thats a big risk…. And unconfirmed as well….. U don’t get tracking no with it and deliver time can be upto 2 months or even more……. See if u have a friend…. Or a relative of a friend living abroad who can do u a favour…. That’s the easiest way I can think of
