Windows powered TV box style mini PCs are slowly but certainly eating into the market of their Android counterparts, but there is still a massive user base that prefers the open source Android OS (for its sheer hack-ability) over Windows.
We’ve tested a few TV boxes in the past and have been impressed for the most part. With time, these devices are starting to get pretty affordable; the Ugoos UT3S is another addition to the list of affordable TV boxes.
Gizchina News of the week
The device costs $120 shipped, and comes with a decent specifications set that includes the tried and tested Rockchip RK3288 quad-core SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM for the core of the device. The UT3S also supports H.265 decoding, so you can save space on your hard disk.
Besides that, the UT3S has dual band (2.4GHz/5GHz0 WiFi on offer, making it a suitable option for those that live in concrete jungles covered with interfering 2.4GHz WiFi networks. For more info on the product, hit the source link to follow the listing on online reseller Gearbest’s store.
