Elephone are rocking yet another smartphone model for their line-up. Below are video and photos of the new Elephone P4000, the world’s first Mediatek MT6735 phone with “World Mode 4G”.
A lot of focus is on Mediatek’s 64bit processors, with many of us looking at the MT6752 and MT6732 models, but they aren’t the only 64bit SoC’s that Mediatek have to offer. A new addition to the family that is just making its way in to smartphones is the MT6735 chipset.
The MT6735 can be compared to the MT6732, both are quad-core processors, and both offer native 4G LTE support. Like the current MT6732, the MT6735 has a Mali T760 GPU, supports up to 720p panels and 13 mega-pixel main cameras, the main difference is the chip’s “World Mode 4G” which gives it access to Rel. 9, Cat. 4 LTE (FDD & TDD), DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 1x/EVDO Rev. A, and EDGE networks.

Elephone P4000 MT6752 hands on (Engineering model)
Final details of the P4000 haven’t been released at this moment, but we have made a point to ask Elephone for the actual bands and networks the Elephone P4000 will support, as this could be one of the first low-cost Chinese phones that actually supports LTE in Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia etc.
